Optional Volunteer Activity with NDMP

- Join us for an optional volunteer activity with NMDP (formerly "Be The Match") to kick off MD Reunion Weekend! We will be labeling swap kits for NMDP to distribute to potential donors. These swab kits are an essential part of collecting an individual's genetic material, and the first step in order for someone to be added to the donor registry list. This interactive activity will serve the important mission of NMDP as well as provide an opportunity to collaborate with members of other MD classes and current students.

Welcome Celebration

- Please join the new VP of University Advancement David Unruh and SMHS Dean Barbara Bass, MD, RESD ’86 for a cocktail reception, featuring refreshments and heavy hors d’oeuvres, kicking off the 2025 MD Reunion Weekend. Come together to reconnect with classmates, fellow MD alumni, and SMHS leadership and faculty.

Breakfast in Ross 101

- A complimentary breakfast will be offered in Ross 101 ahead of Dean Bass’s State of the School presentation. Breakfast will be offered beginning at 9:30 with the presentation beginning promptly at 10:00. Guests can expect a continental-type spread, with pastries, yogurt parfaits, fruit cups, and beverages. During this breakfast time slot, there will also be an interactive meditation activity offered by the Resiliency & Wellbeing Center.
Dean’s State of the School Presentation

- Dean Barbara L. Bass, MD, RESD '86, will share updates about the GW medical enterprise and take questions from alumni.
SMHS MD Program Showcase

- How is the GW SMHS MD program preparing physicians to meet the challenges of modern medicine? Join us to hear from SMHS leadership, faculty, and students who are advancing our missions with skill, empathy, compassion, and resilience. This session will feature 5 to 10 minute “lightning round” talks to highlight how today's MD educational experience is uniquely positioned to train the next generation of talented physician citizens.
Tour of Ross Hall by Current Students

- Current GW Med students will give alumni tours of the medical school facilities and show what it is like to be a GW Med student in 2025.
Class of 1985 Lunch and “Share Your Passions” Meeting

- The Class of 1985 is planning an activity on the afternoon of Saturday, November 8th, at 1:00 pm. Share Your Passion is an opportunity for members of this class to spend a few minutes sharing their personal and professional interests and what they have been up to since the last time they have been able to get together. Lunch will be provided for a small additional fee.
Cocktail Hour and Class Dinners
- 6:00-8:30, The Fairmont Hotel
- Meet back at The Fairmont for a cocktail hour and passed hors d'oeuvres in the Ballroom that will lead directly into the Class Dinners. Dean Bass will also be announcing the winners of the coveted “Reunion Cups” during this time. Then, join your fellow classmates for a private dinner among your class year. Your Class Photo will also be taken during this time. Dessert to follow.
