We encourage classes to take opportunities throughout the weekend to plan meet ups and informal gatherings. Below are recommended times we encourage you and your classmates to schedule these.
Friday, November 7th
The Bicentennial Celebration is scheduled to end at 8:00pm. Hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served. If your classmates want to make plans to continue the evening, below are some conveniently located places just a short distance from The Fairmont:
Saturday, November 8th
Breakfast will be provided in Ross Hall 101 before the State of the School with Dean Bass and tours of Ross Hall. Alumni are welcome to take advantage of this time afterwards to go to lunch or explore activities around campus and DC. The reunion class celebrations start at 6pm at the Fairmont. Below are some great activities we recommend:
- Visit the historic Dumbarton Oaks Museum and Gardens
- Stop by The Textile Museum conveniently located on our campus
- Check out the Luther W. Brady Art Gallery on campus. Dr. Brady was a proud GW MD alumnus '48! The gallery's Saturday hours this Fall will be 1:00 pm-5:00 pm
- Explore the Phillips Collection in Dupont Circle
- Go undercover with friends and family at the Spy Museum
- Visit the monument, memorials, and Smithsonian museums on the National Mall
Sunday, November 9th
There are no formal events scheduled for the Medical School reunion. Alumni should consider breakfast/brunch before heading out of town. Before you leave, don’t forget to stop by the new GW Bookstore to grab your Buff and Blue gear!
