Fund Name: SMHS Class of 2012 Reunion Fund

Supporting: The GW Med Class of 2012 is seeking to establish an endowed fund to support need-based medical school scholarships at GW SMHS. $25,000 is the minimum level needed to create a debt relieving award for medical students. Once established, the fund will produce scholarship income in perpetuity to help remove financial barriers to a GW medical degree. The fund will enable future generations to select a specialty and serve their community based on their passion and calling – and not because of financial pressure or anxiety.

The long-term vision is to fundraise for the award in the years to come and leave a legacy of a fully endowed need-based scholarship in honor of the Class of 2012.

Fund Name: Alumni Legacy Fund for Physician Wellness founded by the Class of 1985

Endowment Update: $121,229.65 market value as of 3/31/22

Supporting: Programs to promote physician wellness and self-care within the GW medical community as a part of life-long learning and professional development.

Class Goal: $10,000 to grow the principal of the endowment.

Endowment Update: $189,901.76 

Supporting: Income earned by this fund supports the highest academic priorities of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences. During the 2020-2021 academic year, this fund supported the Health Services Scholarship in the Office of Student Professional Enrichment. 

Class Goal: $25,000 to grow the principal of the endowment.

  • Write the fund name in the memo line (find your fund name in the above class gifts list)
  • Mail to: The George Washington University, PO Box 98131, Washington, DC 20077-9756  (Important: Be sure to include the full 9 digits for the zip code.)

Please note that your gift via check will be processed as soon as possible and will then be added to your class total.
